FVMQ Technical Information
Introduction to FVMQ
FVMQ was invented by Dow Corning in the 1950s. The polymer structure consists of polysiloxane chains with trifluoropropyl groups, containing 23-28% fluorine content and operating effectively from -50°C to 180°C.
FVMQ rubber compounding
The technical polymer structure of FVMQ provides excellent resistance to fuels, solvents, oils, and chemicals. Compared to VMQ, it offers enhanced oil resistance, while compared to fluorocarbon rubbers, it provides better low-temperature flexibility down to -70°C and continuous service up to 180°C.
